MIAMI – June 7, 2010 – The exclusive Paulina & Friends concert benefitting The Lili Claire Foundation® announced today two reigning acts that have joined the stellar line up: Fanny Lu and Luis Fonsi. These top international acts will join international superstar Paulina Rubio, who will headline the one-night-only, star-studded Paulina & Friends concert at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater, June 19, 2010.

“I’m so grateful to have the support of my colleagues for this great cause,” said Rubio. “Fanny Lu and Luis are a great addition to this event and I can’t wait to share the stage with them. It’s going to be a fantastic night!”

Prior to the performances open to the public, the evening will begin with an exclusive guest list of who’s who in South Florida, where Darlene Perez will be honored as the “Humanitarian of the Year” by The Lili Claire Foundation® during a dinner fundraiser and awards presentation. More than 300 guests including friends and family of Darlene, will enjoy private musical performances, a chance to bid during a silent and live auction, and much more.

“The Lili Claire Foundation® has been blessed with the hands-on commitment Darlene has taken with the organization, and is grateful for the overwhelming support she has provided from day one,” said Jeff Simmons, community relations manager for The Lili Claire Foundation®. “She is deserving of this recognition and much more.”

Darlene is no stranger to the non-profit community and is considered an angel among the angels that help support and drive non-profit programs across the nation and in the South Florida community. Her involvement with The Lili Claire Foundation® has afforded the organization to quickly become part of the South Florida community, where it will open a Family Resource Center in Miami in 2011. On any given day, Darlene is running about town fulfilling her role as a friend to many, a mother to her son, a wife to real estate magnate Jorge Perez, but most importantly, a volunteer in the community.

“Since childhood I have been used to giving to my community, beginning with my sister who has cerebral palsy – and over the years it has become something I am passionate about and something that comes very natural to me,” said Darlene. “My family and I are humbled by this recognition and we hope to continue working side-by-side with all the great people that give so selflessly, including the younger generations to whom we are all passing along this great sense of volunteerism.”

At the heart of the evening, Paulina & Friends will celebrate with one-of-a-kind musical acts where fans can join in and experience a truly memorable evening benefitting The Lili Claire Foundation®. Additional musical talent includes Miguel Bosé, a Latin GRAMMY winning musician and one of the biggest stars in the Spanish speaking world, who had previously confirmed his performance at Paulina & Friends. Los seguidores de Paulina Rubio han iniciado la cuenta regresiva para la llegada de su artista favorita a Lima. Tras seis años de ausencia los chicos del Club “Pau Pau Power Perú” contaron cómo viven los preparativos para el show de “La Chica Dorada” en Lima, el cual se realizará el próximo 10 de junio en la Explanada del Estadio Monumental.

“Hemos preparado un recibimiento muy especial y ahora que Paulina está embarazada hemos pensado en comprarle regalitos para él bebé que está en camino. Compraremos ropa de hombrecito y de mujercita y también algunos detalles con motivos peruanos para ella que tiene un look muy especial”, indicó uno de los fans.

Por otro lado, recalcaron que sin importar la hora de arribo de la artista mexicana, ellos prepararán algo especial en el Aeropuerto. “Ya tenemos carteles, posters y estamos preparando un repertorio de canciones muy especial. La idea es que ella sienta el calor y el cariño de todos su seguidores peruanos”, agregaron.

Asimismo, resaltaron que lo que más disfrutan de los shows de Paulina es el contacto que establece con los espectadores de sus conciertos, con quienes conversa y además les arroja pequeños presentes muy especiales.

“Ella siempre lanza pulseritas y detalles. Nuestro sueño es poder tener algo de eso o robarle un autógrafo en el aeropuerto. Contrario a lo que todos piensan ella es muy cálida con sus fans porque sabe que somos personas que la admiramos y queremos mucho. Siempre se porta bien y por eso nosotros seguimos siendo sus fans desde que ella comenzó”, recalcaron.

Los fanáticos invitaron a todos los seguidores de la artista a adquirir sus entradas para el show de “Gran City Pop Tour”, que se llevará acabo el próximo 10 de junio en la Explanada del Estadio Monumental. Las entradas están a la venta en Teleticket de Wong y Metro.
